5:15-6 PM, Sharon Bladholm
Sharon Bladholm, one of the exhibit's jurors, leads an illustrated talk about her work as an artist with various scientific expeditions, including her current projects.
6-6:45 PM, Shih-Wen Young
Shih-Wen Young will talk about the selection of work for the current consilience show. Young is a physicist and artist who with Sharon Bladholm, juried the Consilience exhibit.

Statement: 'Arsenal' is a 3-D version of Einstein's observation that WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones. The two stones in the sculpture are ones to be found in the world as it will exist just the other side of humankind's apocalyptic failure to manage the fruits of science. Are the stones 'Art' and is there hope or are they weapons?
