Sharon Bladholm, one of the exhibit's jurors, leads an illustrated talk about her work as an artist with various scientific expeditions, including her current projects.
6-6:45 PM, Shih-Wen Young
Shih-Wen Young will talk about the selection of work for the current consilience show. Young is a physicist and artist who with Sharon Bladholm, juried the Consilience exhibit.

Statement: Parasites is a body of photographic work interrogating a personal neurosis and fear of parasitic animals through images that are taken with a scanning electron microscope and exposed onto dry plate gelatin ferrotype plates. This series converses with photography's rich history in relation to science through the combination of antiquated photographic process merged with contemporary imaging technology.
