Statement: The products of my artistic practice have a profound connection to my fascination with the way modern humans perceive and interact with the natural world. I explore visual methods of communicating scientific information prudent to our cultural success as means of posing questions. The response to these photographic inquiries, or even the interpretation of the inquiry itself, can vary depending on the discipline of the viewer. However, as a result of my interdisciplinary background, I find this particularly exciting. There are profound intersections between artistic and scientific practices, and it is my belief that visually capturing these junctures allows for a larger conversation about our contemporary relationship with our environment.
