ARTful Women Talk
Friday, Dec. 12, 6 - 7:15 PM / Free
As part of our 2nd Friday ArtAbout, hear a wonderful slide presentation about the ARTful Women exhibit,
our current local quilt exhibit, by participating fiber artists.
The ARTful Women are Northern California artists whose primary medium is fabric.
Their goal is to increase awareness about fabric as a legitimate fine art form and to push themselves to expand their creative limits using this dynamic medium.
The Pieces created by ARTful Women reprensent several emerging genres within the rapidly evolving world of stitched fabric as fine art. Each artist brings strengths to the group: fabric dyeing, painting, printing with precise detail, the creation of rich textural effects. They employ a wide spectrum of methods including complex value manipulation and a myriad of color and structural techiniques.
