Victory Garden Quilt Challenge!
To support the Pence's desire to host its first traveling quilt exhibit this fall, twelve local art quilters have designed individual blocks on the theme of fresh food.
Textile artist Louise Schiele coordinated the effort, which she titled Victory Garden. From leafy greens to carrots, each artist took a fanciful look at individual foods available in the region.
This 'Quilt Challenge' was donated to the Pence for a raffle. To purchase a ticket for the raffle, please visit the Pence through Nov. 14 at 2 pm, when the winner will be chosen.
Tickets are $5 each, or $20 for 5. Visit the Pence to enter!
The Pence wishes to thank Louise Schiele, who pieced the blocks (and created one of the blocks) and contributing artists Karen Flamme, Yvonne Porcella, Camille Ahern, Carol Larson, Dee Danley Brown, Peig Fairbrook, Deb Hosler, Sara Kelly, Marjan Kluepfel, Marjorie McWilliams, and TerryWaldron.
UPDATE: Congratulations to Klara Johnsen Underwood for being selected the WINNER of the Victory Garden Quilt!
